It has been a great few weeks for us here at BQ and BQ Bitesize!
Our neighbourhood café has been nominated not for one but TWO awards! First up we have been recognised as one of the top community hubs in the city in the I Love Manchester Awards.
We love the fact that I Love Manchester highlight the fact that the, “I Love Manchester Awards is an inclusive initiative for the city region of Greater Manchester. Each and every nomination is assessed on criteria and brand values – they’re not judged on how many followers or reach they have.”
We are honoured that we have been shortlisted alongside other amazing venues such as Hope Mill Theatre and Manchester Youth Zone in the ‘Most Loved Community Hub‘ category. We pride ourselves on the fact that Bitesize is a key part of our community and that we offer a lovely space to enjoy great food, amazing cake and coffee or just a welcoming place where you can chill.
Although the voting has now closed, keep your fingers crossed for us when the awards ceremony takes place on the 23rd November. Thank you to those that have voted for us and an even bigger thank you to those of you that have supported our independent café since we opened.
And our BQ Bitesize chef Freddie has been nominated in the Staff Canteen ‘One To Watch’ category which is an incredible achievement and well deserved recognition for what Freddie has brought to the BQ family. The 13th November is the big day!
And as if that wasn’t enough, we were also appeared in the Manchester Finest ‘Best Sandwiches in Manchester‘ feature, where they described Bitesize’s Roast Sirloin sandwich as, ‘One of the best sandwiches the world has ever known’
